Why a Career Coach?
I am a long-time entertainment industry executive, corporate business leader and entrepreneur and venture capital-private equity fundraiser and have seen thousands of resumes and interviewed hundreds of prospective employees.
As an adjunct professor, I interact daily with students and graduates actively seeking their first, second or third jobs, struggling to pull together resumes and cover letters as well trying to hone their networking and interviewing skills. Academic programs, including Universities, Community Colleges, Certificate Programs and High Schools don't have the resources to teach job prep and search skills.
As a member of the workforce who has reinvented himself numerous times in various industries, I understand how to course-correct into a more fulfilling second or third career and apply acquired skillsets to future opportunities.
This confluence of events creates one certainty: the members of the emerging and ongoing workforce do not have the job-search skills to help them find their first or next job and create a strategy for their long-term career goals.
I have relationships in major industries or have connections who can gain access to those industries. I have worked with companies in media, entertainment, social media, visual arts, sports, financial services, health care, agriculture, cybersecurity, aviation, environmental, hospitality to name a few.
I know what companies are looking for.
I will work with you to identify jobs, create a compelling resume and cover letter, strategically apply and help network to the decision-makers to give you the best chance of landing a position.
That’s everyone’s end-game, right? You’re happy. You refer me. I’m happy. Win-win.
